"Gmar chasimah tovah!!" by Shoshannah Brombacher
Yom Kippur, or the "Day of Atonement," is the holiest day of the Jewish year, and provides prophetic insight regarding the Second Coming of the Messiah, the restoration of national Israel, and the final judgement of the world. Among Ultra-Orthodox Jews there ins a minhag (custom) called kapparot that is often performed before erev Yom Kippur. This is a sort of "scapegoat" ceremony in which a person's sins are symbolically transferred to a rooster of hen. [link]
